Watchlist: the analysis you want, minutes after the earnings call

por Compound Team · 21 de julio de 2026 · 3 min de lectura

Set up a watchlist by email, and Frankie's earnings analysis lands in your inbox minutes after each company reports.

During earnings season, calls overlap, transcripts arrive at different times, and the important question is rarely just “what happened?” You may care about changes in guidance, margin commentary, demand by segment, capital allocation, or anything management said differently from last quarter. Watchlist lets you define that question once. When a company you follow reports, Compound automatically runs the analysis and sends you the finished output.

The challenge is not writing the prompt. It is monitoring every company, finding the relevant materials as they arrive, and applying the same analytical framework consistently across your coverage.

Watchlist handles it. You group the companies you care about, write the prompt once, and Compound runs it automatically, within minutes of any of those companies posting a new earnings transcript. The finished analysis lands in your inbox, and it’s a Compound chat: open it and your next question picks up right where it left off.

How you set it up

A Watchlist entry is a group of companies plus a prompt. Two things to fill in:

  • The companies. Enter them by ticker or name.
  • The prompt. Whatever you’d normally ask after a call. The agent answers it with everything Compound can reach: the transcript itself, EDGAR filings, the web, market data.

You might ask Compound to:

  • Identify every change to revenue, margin, and capital expenditure guidance
  • Compare management’s demand commentary with the prior quarter
  • Flag new risks, customer concentration disclosures, or changes in liquidity
  • Summarize read-throughs for the other companies in your portfolio or coverage universe

Save it, and you’re done. The next time any of those companies reports, the analysis happens without you.

You can create a Watchlist from Compound or simply email Frankie, Compound’s email agent, at frankie@getcompound.ai: “Watch NVDA, AMD, and other notable semis tickers, and after each call give me a summary of guidance changes, AI demand commentary and margin outlook”. Teams with a Compound team agent can do the same over email or in Slack.

What we handle so you don’t think about it

  • One analysis per earnings event. Transcript feeds can include multiple documents, corrections, and re-sends. Watchlist resolves them into a single run.
  • A clear audit trail. Every analysis identifies the company and the earnings event that triggered it.
  • Delivered where you work. Receive the result in Compound or by email.

What’s coming

Earnings transcripts are the first trigger, not the last. We’re working on more things a watchlist can react to: new filings hitting EDGAR, price and market moves, portfolio-level events. Pick your companies, write the prompt once, and the analysis is done before you think to ask for it.

If you cover companies and you’re tired of being the one who has to remember, add a company to your watchlist from the sidebar. Or simply email Frankie the names you cover and the question you always ask, and let Compound do the monitoring.
