Connectors

Última actualización 28 de septiembre de 2026

A connector links a tool you already use, such as Box, Notion, or Stripe, to Compound’s AI agent. Once connected, the agent can query that tool live when you ask: search a folder in Box, read a Notion page, or pull a customer’s payments from Stripe. Nothing is synced into Compound in the background. The agent reads from the tool at the moment you ask, with your own login, so it can only see what you can see there.

Every connector works the same way. Connect once from Settings, then ask your default agent, Frankie.

Note

Connectors work only in your own default agent, Frankie. Agents you create or that are shared with you can’t use connected apps.

Connect a tool

Open Connections in Settings

In Compound, open Settings > Personal > Connections. Each available tool is listed with its status, Connected or Not connected. Use Search providers to find one.

Click Connect and sign in

Click Connect next to the tool. You are sent to that tool’s own sign-in page to log in and approve the access Compound asks for. Compound never sees your password; the tool issues Compound a token tied to your account, which you can revoke at any time.

After you approve, you return to the Connections tab and the tool shows Connected.

Ask Frankie

Open your default agent, Frankie, and ask for what you need, for example “Find the latest board deck in the Project Falcon folder in Box.” There’s nothing to switch on: the agent uses a connected tool whenever a request needs it. If a tool isn’t connected yet, the agent tells you to connect it.

What the agent can see

  • Your access, nothing more. Each connection uses your own login. If you cannot open a file or record in the tool, neither can the agent.
  • Per user. A connection belongs to your account and works only in your own default agent. Teammates connect their own accounts, and each of them sees only what their own login allows.
  • Changes only when you ask. The agent changes data in a connected tool only when you ask for exactly that change.
  • What is saved. Large results and any file the agent downloads from the tool are saved in Frankie’s files. Everything else is read in place.
  • Turn it off. To stop Frankie from using connected apps, turn off Use connected apps in Agent settings > Capabilities.

Disconnect a tool

On the Connections tab, click Disconnect next to the tool and confirm. Compound deletes the token it stored for that tool, and the agent can no longer query the tool until you connect again. To also remove Compound’s access on the tool’s side, revoke Compound in the tool’s own account settings.

Company-managed tools

Some tools let an administrator control which apps employees may connect. If you click Connect and the tool reports that the app is not authorized for your organization, your admin needs to approve Compound once for everyone. The guide for each tool below includes the steps for admins.

Guides for individual tools

  • Connect Box: read and work with Box files in chat, and the one-time approval a Box admin does.

What to read next

  • Data sources: built-in public data such as SEC filings and earnings transcripts, and importing files from Google Drive.
  • Tasks and the chat: how to give the agent work.
