Your account settings control how you sign in, how you’re billed, and how much of Compound you can use each period. Plans range from Free for individual use through Pro Max for power users and Enterprise for large organizations.
All account settings live under Settings in the sidebar.
Account settings
In Settings > Account you can:
- Update your email or password.
- Change your display name.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Manage privacy preferences and analytics consent.
- Request data export or account deletion.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you sign in — a one-time code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.
To enable 2FA:
Open Settings > Account
Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Compound displays a QR code. Scan it with an authenticator app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, etc.).
Enter the verification code
Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm. 2FA is now active for your account.
To turn it off later, return to the same section and click Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
Plans
Compound has several plans:
- Free — individual use, with a monthly allowance to get started.
- Plus — a larger monthly allowance for regular individual use.
- Pro Standard and Pro Max — higher storage and credit allowances for power users running many large analyses per day.
- Teams — a per-seat plan with centralized billing, shared usage, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and audit logging.
- Enterprise — everything in Teams plus custom credit limits, data retention policies, SLA guarantees, and bespoke seat pricing. Contact us to set this up.
On paid plans, when you reach your monthly allocation you can buy credits to keep going. On Teams, admins top up the team’s shared pool.
See the pricing page for current limits and prices.
Billing and Usage
Two settings tabs deal with billing:
- Settings > Billing — shows your current plan, payment method, billing history, and lets you upgrade or downgrade.
- Settings > Usage — shows real-time usage for the current period, along with your remaining balance and storage. If you’re on a team, it breaks down by seat as well.
The Usage page is the right place to look first if you’re trying to understand a billing question or estimate the run-rate of a heavy workload.
Appearance and Language
In Settings > Account you can pick a theme:
- Match system — follows your OS setting.
- Light — always light.
- Dark — always dark.
The Language picker (also in Settings) controls the language of the Compound UI. The agent’s responses are guided by the language of your messages, not this setting — ask in Spanish and you’ll get Spanish answers regardless of UI language.
Deleting your account
To permanently delete your account, open Settings > Account and click Request Account Deletion. The confirmation dialog explains what will be deleted (your Drives, Chats, and Files) and what is retained (audit records required for compliance).
Click Submit Request to file the deletion. You’ll receive a confirmation email and your account is deleted within the published retention window. This action is not reversible.
If you’re a Team Owner, transfer ownership to another member before deleting your account, or the team will be left without an Owner.
