Your account settings control how you sign in, how you’re billed, and how much of Compound you can use each period. Plans range from Free for individual use through Pro Max for power users and Enterprise for large organizations.
To open Settings, click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Settings.
Account settings
In Settings > Personal > Account you can:
- Choose your Language and Appearance.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Sign Out, or Sign Out All Devices to sign out everywhere.
- Request account deletion.
Where privacy regulations apply to your account, a Privacy & data section also lets you manage analytics consent and Request Data Export.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you sign in: a one-time code from an authenticator app in addition to your password.
To enable 2FA:
Open your account settings
Open Settings > Personal > Account and find Two-Factor Authentication under Security.
Click Enable
You may be asked for your password first. Compound then displays a QR code. Scan it with an authenticator app (1Password, Authy, Google Authenticator, etc.).
Enter the verification code
Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify & Enable. 2FA is now active for your account.
To turn it off later, return to the same section and click Disable Two-Factor Authentication.
Two-Factor Authentication is available for accounts that sign in with an email and password. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or your company’s SSO, your identity provider handles the second factor.
Plans
Compound has several plans:
- Free: individual use, with a monthly allowance to get started.
- Plus: a larger monthly allowance for regular individual use.
- Pro (Standard and Max tiers): higher storage and credit allowances for power users running many large analyses per day.
- Teams: a per-seat plan with centralized billing and shared usage.
- Enterprise: everything in Teams plus SSO, SCIM provisioning, custom credit limits, data retention policies, SLA guarantees, and bespoke seat pricing. Contact us to set this up.
On paid plans, when you reach your monthly allocation you can buy credits to keep going. On Teams, admins top up the team’s shared pool.
See the pricing page for current limits and prices.
Billing and Usage
Two settings tabs deal with billing:
- Settings > Personal > Billing shows your current plan and lets you upgrade or downgrade; Manage subscription opens Stripe, where you update your payment method and see past invoices. On a team, billing moves to Settings > Organization > Billing, which only team admins and owners see.
- Settings > Personal > Usage shows real-time usage for the current period, along with your remaining balance and storage. It can also group your spend by agent or by an agent property. Team admins see per-member usage in Settings > Organization > Billing.
Check the Usage page first if you’re trying to understand a billing question or estimate the run-rate of a heavy workload.
Appearance and Language
In Settings > Personal > Account, under Preferences, you can pick a theme:
- Match system: follows your OS setting.
- Light: always light.
- Dark: always dark.
Both are also in the menu under your name at the bottom of the sidebar (Appearance and Language). The Language setting controls the language of the Compound UI. The agent’s responses follow the language of your messages, not this setting. Ask in Spanish and you’ll get Spanish answers regardless of UI language.
Deleting your account
To permanently delete your account, open Settings > Personal > Account and click Request Account Deletion. Type your account email to confirm and click Submit Request. This sends a deletion request to Compound support; once it’s processed, your account and all associated data, including your agents, tasks, and files, is permanently deleted. This can’t be undone.
If you don’t see this option, your organization manages accounts centrally. Contact your administrator.
If you’re a Team Owner, transfer ownership to another member before deleting your account, or the team will be left without an Owner.
